Insurance

I accept Fee for Service Medicaid for individual therapy services with teens referred by Juvenile Justice professionals.

I currently only accept private pay clients for all other services.  Payment is due at the time of services.

It is possible for services to be reimbursed in full or in part by your insurance provider. Please contact your insurance provider to verify how your plan compensates you for out-of-network psychotherapy services.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan reimburse out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

There are advantages to working with an out-of-network provider. It means that you have greater confidentiality and more control over your treatment. You can choose the type of therapy you want, have a say in how many sessions you have, and can even decline to have an official diagnosis. Some clients don’t need a diagnosis but still benefit from engaging in therapy!

Payment

I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards as forms of payment.

No-Cancellation Policy

Scheduled appointments are set especially for the specific patient, and consistent attendance is an integral part of the therapeutic process. Therefore, I have a “No Cancellation” policy which includes the following:

  1. Clients may reschedule any appointment to another date within three weeks of the originally scheduled appointment without penalty (the therapy portal may be used to make rescheduling requests).
  2. Client’s have 1 “free” missed appointment per year.
  3. Appointments must be rescheduled 24 hours prior to the originally scheduled time, or they will be considered a missed appointment if client does not attend.
  4. Any missed appointments beyond the first freebie will be charged at the full session rate.
